AM Wood Skateboard Company was born to rise above the sea of over hyped, under performing, over priced and foreign made longboards.
Based out of Grey County Ontario Canada we are smack dab in the center of Ontario's Ski country, everyone who has had a hand in the development of our boards is an avid snowboarder or skier. We all have a special place in our heart for going fast and walking the fine line between control and disaster. This feeling of control and fun is what we try to incorporate in all our boards. No matter which of our boards you ride, it will ride how you want.
Like most things in life, AM Wood Skateboard Company started small. Just one guy, Alistair McCall, building boards out of his garage for fun and profit. Custom orders required frequent change of materials and building processes and gave Alistair a great deal of experience with a wide variety of techniques. This wealth of knowledge, tips and tricks, little known facts and an understanding of the science of wood was put to good use over the years resulting in an eclectic portfolio of boards and customers. Small things often grow. AM Wood Skateboard Company is the result of this accumulated knowledge and the contributions of artists, builders, and riders.
We are in a constant state of research and development. Whether we are tweaking a new shape or testing sustainable building materials or exotic construction methods, we never stop improving. As the AM Wood Skateboard Company board lineup grows we plan to move more and more to sustainable and green products. We want our boards to have as little impact on the environment as possible while outperforming the competition manufactured with traditional techniques used by other companies.
