2012marks the 102nd year in business for Jones Bicycles in Long Beach, California. It’s quite a milestone, and one that many retailers would love to achieve. But how is it possible? I asked store manager Ulysses Torres the secret to the shop’s longevity. “It’s location,” he said. “You have to find the right spot. And as long as you know how to run the business nice and tight – then you can have longevity.”
The first issue of this magazine was published just under six months ago. We are proud to tell you that the feedback has been excellent. We’ve heard of arguments in shops about who was going to keep the magazine to take home. We’ve heard directly from dealers at trade shows that they found the magazine an extremely valuable resource.
It’s finally spring and things are rolling. This is the biggest Buyer’s Guide we’ve ever published. We decided to just push things a little bit further this year by doing eight covers as well.
It’s spring 2012 and I am sittinghere staring down what is shaping up to be our biggest Buyer’s Guide yet. In fact, this is the biggest issue of CW we’ve ever published. The weight of this thing will be perfect protection should you ever find yourself attacked by ninjas or rabid dogs – or rabid ninjas! Just roll it up and start swinging! Seriously, though, I am eternally grateful to all the companies that are responsible for supporting Concrete Wave.
