Omen Longboards started with the Carbon Matrix, which was the collaboration between a bunch of local Seattle skaters including Nate Blackburn and Trevor Preston. Omen didn’t have a physical location at the time, so the Matrix was outsourced to a local company. Tye Donnelly has been putting on races in San Diego county for a number of years. Here is a quick report on what happened this past weekend. Another really classic race – this was number 13. It was 1 mile course full of 45+ turns and drafting. Photo finish races all day. Police support again, makes racing all day with friends so rad. Steak and Lobster bbq is a perfect start to any race! This is the 19th time the local television station has aired race highlights, and they usually will re-air on all the Monday am news shows. It will be the very last part of the broadcast.

There is a large group of girl pro racers in town, and we will give up one of our very best secret tracks ever to showcase their racing. Indian reservation police support (and very welcoming).  No cars, closed road. Best race track yet!
