Longboarding is becoming the foundation of so many communities from coast to coast. I have seen longboarders all over this country; now I was longboarding in the country.
True to outlaw tradition, no streets were closed and no police were to be found. Organizer Tom Weisenbach supplied each registered skater with a course map and then it was on! Bombing through the streets of Lexington, racers were greeted with high fives, cheering, honking, cursing, traffic, old ladies, and of course road construction.
